Floating this idea around. If I don't do it this year it is something I would definitely consider in the future. Has anyone had experience with doing this?

What would be things to look out for/consider? What kind of gas mileage am I realistically looking at with these? For tailgating purposes it looks like most/all away locations require on board generators with an extension for the exhaust to go above the RV.

All I can gather from Cruise America (since I'm located in BR) is that they charge mileage, a very low coverage plan for damages, and are only open for pick up in the afternoon with no drop offs on Sundays. Anywhere else in the area that's worth looking at?

6-10 mpg depending on load and terrain and vehicle.

Do the areas not allow external generators? Thats the biggest issue now a days if you want to go to a bigger game is getting a decent spot and following the rules because it’s popular to do and the better spots are grabbed up quickly by the people that do it every game.

Your biggest issue at games is showering because they don’t have large tanks to hold clean or used water, if you have a family or women or whatever.

We did it a few times and went to Bama and Auburn. It was fun and we used the generators on the RV. I would think you wouldn't have much of an issue with a little Honda quiet generator. No sure about TD village. I know TD Village makes you have a pvc exhaust but I don't remember having one when the went to Bama or Auburn.

We rented from a place right off I-10 at the Loyola exit. Motorhome Rentals of Louisiana LLC. It was several years ago but this looks to be the place. You can see the RVs from the interstate.

We averaged about 5-6 miles per gallon traveling. We dropped off both times on Sundays. Both times renting it for a long weekend.

Florida game would be what we want to do and they require exhaust pipes to extend above any trailers/vehicles.

Were you able to park your own vehicle at the rental lot? Problem is BR only has two locations and neither allow us to return on Sunday, only Monday and that's an extra $400+ I don't want to tack on.
