Recommended Travel Plans For Bozeman This October?

Thinking my son (adult) and I may fly into Bozeman on October 15th and then fly back out from another city on October 21st. What would be a recommended itinerary of things to see and departure city for a 6-day trip? We both love the outdoors, but I have an Achilles issue right now that keeps me from being able to hike more than a mile or two at a time. I’m sure we will spend at least one day driving around Yellowstone.

I think we have decided on flying into Salt Lake City and flying out of Bozeman. Plan to hit Tetons and Yellowstone along the way.

Check Yellowstone operating season. Lots of things close down beginning of October. And with the recent floods, there may be additional roads/services closed.
