USA Today just ran an article about folks getting stuck at Mexican resorts because of a positive covid test. Chances of it happening are low, but dealing with the resort and the airlines sounds like a nightmare if it does happen.

This place is very laid back. The only thing was it had limited dining and wasn't on the beach. Grand Velas PV and Rivera Maya are also great options.
