Going watch the Phillies. Is it better to stay near stadium at Philadelphia live or downtown Philly? Just me and wife looking to have a good time and hit great bars and eat the best cheesesteak. Any recommendations?

Not sure about the bars but my wife and I went to Philadelphia last year to take in a Phillies game.

We stayed at a hotel that is right by the Walnut-Locust subway station and took the subway to and from the game.

The hotels were cheaper downtown than by the stadium and ended up being less walking.

Enjoy the game! The stadium is a beautiful stadium!

Stay downtown. Subway to and from stadium. Go early to eat/drink at Xfinity live. Search other philly treads as I've given a ton of recs in the past few months here.

You want to stay downtown/center city, the stadium itself is like 10-15min away it will not be an issue getting there.
