Was my 3rd time there, and this year was fantastic.
tl;dr - Park City is really easy to get to, great skiing, very walkable, but not a ton of party/bar options
Flight was direct from Chicago into SLC, but others had direct flights from other cities (NYC, DC, one or two others). SLC is not a huge airport, and the rental cars are right on site. The drive to town from the airport is about 40-45 minutes.
Our house kicked arse. Huge and beautiful. I think it had 5 bedrooms and hosted 13 of us comfortably. Address is 1030 Lowell, which is about a 10 minute walk to the Park City ski village and lifts, and maybe 15 minutes walk to downtown PC. (add at least 10 minutes to both of the walks back due to drunk/tired, and going uphill).
House had a hot tub, which was great for apres.
As mentioned, downtown PC was a short walk. There are not a ton of bars, but a decent amount of restaurants. After skiing saturday we wanted to hit No Name Saloon, which is the second most popular establishment in town. It's a cool place with good food, and they have an outdoor bar on the roof with great views. It's just very popular and they had a line and $10 cover. You can see the rooftop bar in the picture, top left.
The most popular place in town is High West. Great whiskey, really good food. You need to put your name in most nights and then wait it out until your table is ready. Lucky strike extra. The town lift, which goes into the middle of downtown PC is right across the street.
(Yes, the blurry girl in the picture was pretty damn hot)
As mentioned, skiing was fricking awesome. We've been going on the second weekend of Sundance, and the mountain is really quiet. Not to mention our first two days there it was sunny and low 40s.
My second day skiing I caught the last chair and had the run to myself which was pretty fricking cool.
We were there 4 days and I only skied two, so one of the days I wanted to go tubing. It was a $30 uber (we took an XL) and the tubing was $60 for 2 hours, but it was super fun. I'd go back. They also had a whole indoor trampoline park, skate ramps, and a bunch of other shite. And a downhill terrain park right next to the tubing.
The run didn't look too steep when you come up to it but you got fricking going, and it was a long run. You could go alone, race your buddies, or go all together in one lane.
One thing that we've experienced a couple times is getting to SLC for an early flight can be really tricky if you're relying on uber. A few people in our group had to pay about $150 one way. So strongly suggest renting an SUV. You'll pay about $150 a day, but it's great for knowing you'll have a ride back to SLC, getting to the airport, driving over to Sundance, driving over to ski Deer Valley or Canyons, etc.
We'll be heading back next year.

Yeah, every trip now it's a "must hit". Great old fashioneds, and they have a bunch of their whiskeys that you can't get elsewhere. And really good food. Apparently the chicken schnitzel is a thing at High West, to the point that my friends were going back multiple times the same trip for it and others were asking for them to bring some back takeout

I only go to ski mountains that have diversity.

Where was the tubing?
My wife wants to go next time we’re out there. We went in early December last time and the tubing hadn’t opened yet.
Also, you can get a rental for cheaper than 150/day. We had a Ford Explorer and it was about 50-60/day if I remember correctly. Well worth the convenience.

I saw at least 3 black people on the mountain and around town. How much diversity you need?
Also, if religious diversity is your thing you kinda get it with the tourists.

Woodward (it's a park, not a town). It's about 20 minutes out of PC back towards SLC. If you rent a car you're fine. We just had to uber because our friends had it and were getting massages in Sundance.
ETA: our car was expensive because we had a full size Tahoe

Nice. We've been wanting to get out there... but in the summer. It's an amazing town for mountain biking. And, as you discovered, they have a Woodward there now, which is my son's jam as he's into bmx, dirt jumping and all that slope style biking stuff.

PC is great, have you ever gone to Little Cottonwood Canyon to hit Brighton/Alta? If not, you should consider it, Brighton is much cheaper, not as many skiers

We haven't, but some were talking about it. I wouldn't mind driving over for a day just to check it out. I assume it's not included in the epic pass?
