2 old guys, private pilots but camping in motor home on site, first-timers staying entire week - any must do’s on site, nearby attractions, maybe even a day trip? Very much interested in warbirds & military (dad was a WW2 pilot) but might be able to skip some of the afternoon acro acts to do some sightseeing. Never even been to that part of the country.

You could go take a tour of the Packers Stadium/Gift Shop

If you play golf Kohler is about an hour east. Yeah Lambeau for sure an hour north. Milwaukee is a little farther, 90 minutes or so south. Maybe take in a festival there. German Fest is July 24-26. I lived in Oshkosh for 7 years. Not much of note in the city proper but plenty to see and do within 90 minutes in all directions. I've been to the air show several times and may go this year, I haven't decided yet.

I was in Ripon a few years ago the weekend before the show. I was eating breakfast in the hotel just before I checked out. Several older couples who were in town for the show were also eating breakfast.
One old guy asks the old guy at the next table: "Do you have any suggestions as to where to sit so that we can get a better view?'
Other old guy: "They are in the air. Just sit anywhere and look up."
First old guy: "Oh! Thank you very much."
They were both dead serious, and it was all I could do to contain my laughter.
