Any insights to how NYC might be this summer? From what I see online, it seems like it’s opening back up and live streams seem to have a decent amount of people in Times Square. My wife and I are trying to plan an anniversary trip and New York has always been on our bucket list. Anyone been recently?

Wife and I went back in Feb. Restaurants had just opened to 50% capacity. The City was like a ghost town, which I enjoyed, no waiting in lines for anything. All major attractions were open except Broadway shows. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Don’t waste a bucket list trip in that toilet now. There will be another time to visit that once great city. Now is not that time.

The city is a shell of itself right now. I’d wait and travel somewhere else

NYC is great! Just moved here at the end of May and everything is open to essentially 100% capacity. Tons of live music, comedy, street performances, restaurants, bars, and shows. There are no mask mandates in most places - though public places like subway, museums, etc ask you to wear it.

Give it one more week and they will require 2 masks for the already vaccinated and 12 masks for unvaccinated
