Wanting to plan something during spring break for my 13 and 17 year old daughters. Seeing several all inclusive resorts that have water parks on the premises. One in particular that was recommended to me was Beaches at Turks and Caicos. I know there are several in Mexico as well. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I second hotel Xcaret. I’m shocked it doesn’t get mentioned more on this board. It is unreal and you get free access to about 10 activity and nature parks

I think your kids are a little old for Beaches. Every time I’ve walked past that place it’s little kids.

Yep we did them all last year. Xenses was fun but our favorite was Xenotes.

I take it back. We didn’t do Xel-Ha. We swam with the whale sharks instead. We also did the Chichen Itza run as well. All from the front door of the resort. Awesome trip

We loved Xplor as well. I’m not a big heights guy so my butt was puckered up a bit. Wifey got a kick out of my trepidation.

I checked out Xcaret. Looks like a blast! Will try to make reservations today. Thanks all for the suggestions. Any more info on Xcaret that y’all can think of would be appreciated!

Your teens will love it. Pool is nice. The beach is beautiful but not the wide expanse of white sand you might expect. The resort and parks are much more eco centric. Food was awesome with several nice sit down restaurants. The main buffet was killer so no let down there. Enjoy the parks. They are worth it.

ETA:
We swam with the dolphins at the main Xcarat park. Extra expense but my teenagers loved it.

Do you do Disney and Sandals Travel? I want to do a combo trip to hit the shittiest that travel agents push as a good time.

Xcaret

I did Xcaret and Chichen Itza on my honeymoon 20 years ago. Loved the ecopark and the ruins were cool too.

I'm amazed to learn there are hotels in that area now. When I went 20 years ago, it was way off the beaten path; we stayed at an adults-only Palace property nearby that was the only hotel there.

LOADS of serviced houses for rent all over the Caribbean. Cook / butler / chef and driver/van. Have them stock it prior to arrival. About the same price as all inclusive without the cruise ship feel. My idea of getting away is avoiding people.....
