Natchitoches around Christmas

Going to Natchitoches with my girlfriend for the first time for the Christmas festival. Getting in town Friday the 16th late afternoon and leaving Monday. Couldn’t get a place in town so got a hotel about 10 minutes away.
The festival will obviously be our main focus on Saturday but looking for a few things to do Friday and Sunday. Any restaurant/bar to frequent or sights/tourist things to go see? I’ve found a few old threads and have a general idea but still looking for anything new or must see/do advice

There is the Steel Magnolia house and a cool old cemetery near downtown.

Mayeaux's for dinner
Lasyone's for brunch/lunch
Merci Beaucoup for brunch/lunch
Pioneer pub for beer/drinks and bull shite
Mariners is a cool date spot for dinner, but the food is hit or miss.
Friday night or Sunday night driving off the beaten path to the Cane River Commissary.

Mariners
Pretty sure they're still closed from the fire last summer

Are you talking about the fire at Mayeaux's? Didn't know of one at Mariners.
If Mayeaux's, they are back open now.

This 100% a little south of town but it’s a nice drive. Very good food there.
Anything on front street or 2nd street will be good. Can’t think of a bad spot.
I like to go to Trail Boss Steak House too.
Check out the Dark Woods Christmas village also.
Traffic can be horrible in the afternoon though, be patient
