Working on a surprise birthday trip for the wife (no pics) in July. Any recommendations for places to stay in Nassau,Bahamas? Hotel, Resort, or vacation rental? Any area to avoid when booking?

atlantis but it is expensive and july is HOT. look into eleuthera island in the Bahamas

We do our guys trip at the Atlantis in March. This year we are going to make a run and check out the Baha Mar, the new resort at Cable Beach. Not ready to stay there yet..heard the restaurant situation was not ironed out.

The One and Only is the correct answer. It is pretty hot that time of year however.
