I searched, but didn't find much in the way of recent threads or posts addressing the questions below.

Group of a dozen women roughly age 25 headed there and staying in the Palm Cay area. Looking for a few lively places to eat and a fun place to go out one of the nights. Needless to day, they are looking for safe venues.

Any help will be appreciated. I've already seen plenty of negative posts about Nassau, but this is a done deal, so those will not be helpful.

Palm Cay is about a 30 min taxi ride to the good restaurants and bars in Downtown Nassau, at the north/northeastern side of the island. The cruise ships dock there, so there's more to eat and do.

Senor Frogs is fun.. I have been to the one in Nassau and the one in Mazatlan. For 25 year old women, they will have a good time.

Fish Fry.

Senor Frogs is about as touristy and drunk as it gets if that's what they're looking for. Not my cup of tea.

Stayed at Palm Cay a month ago...was awesome.

Location is VERY relaxed and non-touristy for a touristy island.

As someone said, you'll be 20-30 minutes away from the touristy areas. But, that's the beauty of the place...away from the chaos but can get there in 20-30 mins.

You should arrange for a rental car before you go. A taxi is too much of a PITA and costly.

For beaches, chartering a boat is reasonable and Cabbage Beach on Paradise Island in front of the Four Seasons is awesome.

For restaurants/nightlife, the perk of staying in Nassau is that that you have lots of options. Fish fry is good. Poop Deck is good too. For a bunch of 25 year old women, you guys would probably like the Baha Mar.
