MSY Parking Economy Lot Question

Anybody have experience with the Economy Lot at MSY? We usually park in the parking garage at the new airport but have been looking into other options. Ran across this info on the Economy Lot and the “Check N Fly” option where they will check your bags at the garage. Anyone here have any experience with this? Seems like a good deal if it’s as advertised.

This the one you can't reserve? I know I've had issues reserving spots at Nola and I've booked at a place right down the road with shuttle service

Had to park there last week for a trip we took bc the lots at the new terminal were all full. Waiting on the shuttle to the terminal was a pain in the arse and we didn't check our bags ahead of time so we had to tote our luggage with us too. It was fine and cheaper than the main lots, but would not be my first choice from a convenience standpoint.

Sounds like another opportunity to lose and damage my luggages.
