Wife and I are going to Moon Palace for a music festival type thing in early 2020.

Reading reviews online....well I'm getting the impression they have a lot of fake reviews.

I've been to Mexico a half dozen times and always have had great experiences.

I've never been to an all-inclusive anything, its not my style of travel, but we're doing this for the good old Grateful Dead!

I know the seaweed is a real problem but perhaps it will be cleared up a bit by January.

Has anyone been? Is it as horrible as I'm imagining, or will I be pleasantly surprised?

I went my senior year of college on spring break. I don't remember a ton of the details about the trip other than that we had an incredible time and the bathtubs/jacuzzis are just out in and completely open to the rooms. Had some nice entertainment in there.

I'll feel sorry for you if you end up in the room I stayed in, even if you are there 13 years after I was.

Wife and I went a couple years ago for a company sales award trip.

I was very pleasantly surprised. I thought the food was really good.

Beach isn’t really that pretty, lots of seaweed.

Overall I though it was a good resort.

Went a few years ago and had a great time. Resort was nice. Lots of kids running around (June). Food was decent. Nice golf course (mosquitos were a bitch as it had rained for days prior to our arrival). When you enter, you go through a security check point. Was a little eerie at 1st but felt very safe the entire trip. If you get a villa on the golf course, you get your own golf cart. That was nice. We went with a group and we were the only ones with a cart. Everyone laughed at me but those bitches were quick to bum rides. The villas are a nice little ride from the main building. Very nice pool area. Jack Daniels had a huge pool party while we were there and some oil companies had a golf tourney. The Mexican women there were like none I’ve ever seen here

I have been to a number of the palace resorts in mexico and I have stayed at the moon palace also. it is nice food and drinks are great. if you play golf there is a ton of wildlife and they will take you snacks, wallet, phone etc right out of your cart. if you like the beach take the free shuttle to the cancun beach palace. its much better there.

Don’t leave the resort. Pack a machete in your checked luggage.

Yes. My wife and I went on our honeymoon in November of 2016. It is an incredible place to stay! Do not leave the resort, but there is honestly no need to. You have very different kind of food you can want on the resort with great nightly entertainment options. If you’re a golfer, the course is exceptional. We stayed at the Nizuc (so?), but I hear The Grand is done with construction now and is incredible.
