Anyone have any thoughts (or prayers) for things to do in January in Milwaukee? Just going for a wedding weekend so really just have 1 day and night to fill. Have been to the art museum on a previous trip. Staying downtown I believe.

Any fun winter wonderland activities?

Red Arrow Park ice skating

Mitchell Park Domes holiday show is cool but might be done by the time you’re here

Harley Davidson Museum

Milwaukee Public Market

You’ve got sports like the Bucks and Admirals hockey and Marquette basketball too possibly depending on what day you’re looking at

Plenty of places to eat and drink if you want any recommendations there

Nice thanks for the recs. Any thoughts on hotels? We stayed at the pfister a couple years and enjoyed it.

Mine as well. Although the biodomes look kind of cool.

The other art museum - Milwaukee School of Engineering's Grohman museum. It focuses on industry and engineering subjects.

Carnevor has a great steak. The public market is a fun way to kill an hour.

Or get on the train and go to Chicago which is far more interesting, like x1000. $25 and 90 minutes, downtown to downtown.

Can’t go wrong with the Pfister, probably the pinnacle of lodging excellence downtown.
Good call on the Grohman, very underrated. I took my cousin who was visiting from California a few years ago and he loved it

Enjoyed the pfister. We were there last summer at the same time the St. Louis cardinals were quarantining in the hotel right after the baseball restart.

Professional baseball players have turned into massive humans.

Kimpton in the 3rd Ward is also really nice.

Lake Park Bistro is my favorite restaurant (anything by the Bartolotta group is good).

Most of the fun winter outdoor stuff is outside of Milwaukee.
