Taking my wife down to Miami for our anniversary and looking for restaurant recommendations. We will be staying at The Setai and would probably prefer to stay in the South Beach area.
I appreciate any help!

When I was there for the Saints in the Superbowl all of the action was on South Beach.

Joe’ Stone Crab in South Beach is pretty legendary.
If you want some authentic Cuban check out Versailles in Little Havana. I always enjoy Havana 1957 in South Beach as well.

Watr at the 1 Rooftop is not far away. I think Puerto Sagua Restaurant has the best Cuban food on South Beach, IMO. the Rusty Pelican has great views and worth the visit. Prime 112 might be the best steak on the beach, but I've never tried it. Ive just heard good things. Barton G, (another place I have not been but hear good things about) is supposed to be pretty fun because of the outlandish way they present the food. We tend to stay away from South Beach now, preferring the much quieter North Beach. lol
If you decide to venture out from South Beach, I can vouch for these places having great food. A lot of them are not that far and in areas that you might venture out to visit anyway.
Cuban
Islas Canarias Restaurant
Versailles Cuban Bakery
Sanguich De Miami
Enriqueta's Sandwich Shop
Vista Restaurant
El Exquisito
Molina's Ranch
Other
B & M Market (Jamaican)
Half Moon Empanadas
Area 31
Mandolin (Mediterranean)

Check out Graziano’s in Coral Gables for amazing Argentine-style steaks.
We loved The Lobster Shack in Lincoln Road Mall and Santorini by Giorgios (Mediterranean) on South Beach.
Old’s Havana in Little Havana had a ropa vieja that knocked my socks off. Check out the Little Havana Cigar Factory across the street.

+1 for old’s Havana. Your wife will probably dig the patio too. Cool spot

Jaya at Setai is excellent.
Just did the tasting menu at Stubborn Seed tonight and it was awesome.

old’s Havana.
Old’s Havana kicks arse, but OP seems to want to stay in South Beach. Unfortunately, it’s a hike with traffic, otherwise I’d also recommend happy hour cocktails at Bar Nancy and after dinner beers at Union.
