Been here since Friday morning.

Even though the beaches are closed the food and shops have been great. Gone out on boating trips the last few days.

But at night this place turns into freeknik. Not my scene at all. I've felt more comfortable in the quarter. It's practically lawless here.... Even with the curfew at 10 am.

Are there any places in Miami that are nice?

We are lower 40s and not into the club scene. We had never been here till this weekend.

Little Havana
Coral Gables
Las Olas in FLL

I’ve never had an issue in SB. Is it crazy with protests or just ppl out blowing off steam?

No protesting.

Lots of thug life type situations. Half neekid women twerking on top of cars. Saw things I'd rather not have seen.

Mainly they were partying and smoking weed. Everyone was smoking. Didn't see any fights or anything like that.

Miami had a 10 pm curfew. So at 7pm the cops lined the streets and waited for curfew. I'm not sure if anything bad happened after 10. I'd be blown away if it went smoothly.

I had never been. I guess I was thinking good food, crazy boats and cars, and clubs.... I was right for the most part.. .but drastically underestimated the club atmosphere and the craziness that hangs out in the street.

We had a good time this weekend even with the beaches closed. I would just rather be away from the club scene.... far away.

South Beach is like Venice Beach. Lots of street performers, rap music, clubs, etc.

are the beaches opening back up? We are scheduled to head to Ft Lauderdale at the end of the month and trying to figure out if anything will be open by then.

It is like bourbon street in that it is Almost all tourists and people who have lived in miami for awhile don’t really go to South beach.
