Heading to Playa del Carmen next weekend for our honeymoon. Let me know what it's like if you've been recently. Don't think we really plan on venturing too far from the resort, but I'll hit up Jose at the pool bar for a piece to go out with if I need to. Chichen Itza is probably the furthest we'll go out. Want to go see those temples and cenote.

Not trying to be political but any chance this is just an attempt to hassle Mexico by the US Govt. Nothing in that advisory really seemed to be any new information. The bad booze and crooked hospitals seem to be a bigger issue for tourists.
