Going in May, would love some places to check out and places to eat and any other weird spots that would be fun to see.

The Bass Pro Shop in the pyramid by the Mississippi has an elevator to the top (for a fee) with a very good view of the river.

Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken is based in Memphis.

Obviously, there's really good barbecue in Memphis, but be very selective of the location and hours you visit.

Beale Street is well known, but the locals have always warned me away.

BB King’s is a must for me, but you have to have an appreciation for a 3pc Blues session or a 12pc setup with multiple horns. My wife & I have sat there for 4+ hrs both of the times that we went.

All nice places to eat in Memphis-
Flight
Itta Bena
Paulete's
Felicia Suzanne's

Beale Street can be vv dangerous after hours- just be aware of your surroundings.

If you are staying the night in downtown or midtown memphis, make sure you get anything of value out of your car each night.
