I got flown down there for 2.5 days. Seriously. The river area is cool to visit downtown. The one thing that did stand out to me is that there were more interesting building designs all over the city than I’d ever seen anywhere in the world. I don’t mean penis measuring statements like the burj al-khalifa, or the butt plug in London, but interesting designs, accents, etc on 20-30 story buildings. One building changed the glazing on just about every other window to create a diagonal step stair effect. Just interesting stuff.

Places (quick service food) tend not to provide receipts, so ask up front if you need them.

I went in December, and umbrellas every day were a must. Uber drivers will accept your route, look at it, and cancel at a rate I’ve never seen anywhere else.

The road construction sucks. There were four lane boulevards cut down to two lanes with cones on a street with stoplights, with no work being done. A three mile drive may take 35 minutes.

Make sure you have the visa at least two weeks before your trip. Bring NOTHING in terms of food meat or dairy in. Toss anything and everything you have left before you get off the plane.

43 hours in the air, for 2.5 days on the ground, and ten minutes with the client. That’s all I got

Rent a car and drive the Great Ocean Road -- go see the apostles. Be careful of the roo's jumping across the road on the way back to Melbourne when it is dark outside.

I lived there for a year and it's a great city full of food, art and wine.
Catch a footy match, hit a gallery, go to High Street for some music.

Second the renting a car and hitting the Great Ocean Road .... one of the best drives in the world.

This time of year it should be nice.
If you are flying from Louisiana, it's not too bad really travel wise especially if in business class for work.

Go to Young & Jackson’s Hotel and have a drink with Chloe

Really good seafood joint is Clay Pots. Eat a Morton’s Bay Bug.

Try Vegemite. Let an Aussie show you how to eat it.

Best beer, IMO, is Little Ceeatures. Coopers is good too.

Watch out for drop bears. They are dangerous this time of year.
