Martha's Vineyard Recs

Just booked three days in Martha' Vineyard. Looking for restaurant and activity recommendations. We are staying in Oak Bluffs. Trying to decide if we need a car. Any insight is much appreciated.

We went as part of a New England trip so we had a car and took it on the ferry. We stayed in Edgartown but drove around the island. It was mid-October so the tourist season was over. Some places had closed but there was still enough open to not be a problem. I recommend a car.

Definitely get a car. It’s a big island. The best restaurants are in Edgartown. The cliffs in the other side of the island are a must see. The kid who got eaten in Jaws owns a bar somewhere and gives out autographed shirts. Kisimet outfitters if you want to fish or paddle. Jump off the jaws bridge. The drive out to Chilmark is beautiful.
