Drive the Gulf Coast of FL, and go all the way to Key West.
Fly to Boston, drive up to Maine.
Portland, OR to Seattle....

Sedona/Grand Canyon

I-10 to Jacksonville/St. Augustine area.
go north along the eastern routes to Williamsburg, Va.

Brunswick, GA/St. Simons Island
Savannah/Tybee Island/Hilton Head/Beaufort, SC
Charleston, SC
Pawleys Island/Murrells Inlet/Brookgreen Gardens/Huntington Beach St. Park
Myrtle Beach or North MB SC
Calabash NC/Southport, NC/Wilmington, NC
Emerald Isle/Atlantic Beach/Morehead City/Beaufort NC
Ferry from Cedar Island to Ocracoke Island
Ferry from Ocracoke to Cape Hatteras, NC
Drive through the National Seashore to:
Nags Head/Kill Devil Hills/Kitty Hawk/Duck
take a side trip to Manteo
then onto to:
Williamsburg, VA/Jamestown/Yorktown
dead head home through Atlanta.

If that is too much seacoast, turn inland at Charleston and go into the mountains and visit:
Ashville/Brevard/Cashiers/Maggie Valley/Cherokee NC
Gatlinburg TN area

A few years ago we did part of that; 2 nights at Kitty Hawk/2 nights at a B&B on Ocracoke/ 1 night at Atlantic Beach
