Last Supper tour

Please send me suggestions or thoughts on seeing the Last Supper. I don’t mind paying for a tour guide but am not certain if booking a small, private tour is worth the upgrade in cost. It looks like you get 15 mins regardless and I assume the number of people let in would be the same regardless of how you’ve booked.
I’m also considering a half day tour with Last Supper/castle and the Duomo. Not currently planning to tour La Scala as I am hoping to see a performance.
I would greatly appreciate any specific reccs.

Did a private tour last year. Private in the sense my family had our own guide just talking to us. In general they let maybe 30 people in at a time but was worth it to have guide explaining things before and after and during. He was able to give a lot more context about Leonardo’s life, why he went to Milan, how the monks lived in this monastery, the restoration efforts. All of that. Highly recommend this. Let me find the info and I’ll share. Pretty sure it was booked through the monastery/conservancy.
Did a ballet at La Scala and the Duomo the next morning. Both incredible.
ETA yes. They open spots maybe two months ahead and I emailed and asked for a guided tour. LINK

I did the combo tour 3 years ago with the Last Supper and the castle, and it was a really good tour. Saw Rigoletto in La Scala using the hack to get really bad seats for 10 Euros and really enjoyed it.

Last minute, “standing room”? I’m looking at going to a premiere so I’m not sure this will work but curious.

"Restricted view" tickets are sold the day of performance by a nonprofit for 13 Euros each. You have to be in line before 1:00 pm to get a pass to come back at 5:00 pm to collect your ticket. I did it, and it's like this woman described: LINK
Yes, I had to stand up and lean forward to properly see the stage, but I did have a seat that I could relax into between scenes. It was a great experience.

Thanks! I ended up getting tickets for the premiere of a new opera based on Umberto Eco’s Il nome della rosa. Tickets were pretty reasonable. I figured when’s the next time I’ll be in Italy with my tux for the world premiere of an opera at La Scala? Might as well take advantage of it. And picked up a pair of antique French opera glasses for my wife’s Valentine’s Day gift. Not too shabby for a redneck from the sticks of west Alabama. lol.
Should be fun. Excited about La Scala. Now going to book tour of last supper and Duomo. 3 nights in Milan total.

Enjoy. La Scala is a really great music venue. The red rocks of opera and ballet. The snack bar at intermission has prices rivaled only by the Superdome.

We enjoyed Milan a few years ago, and thought the guide of a small group (8) to be informative and helpful. I think she arranged for a little extra time for her group at Last Supper. It wasn't busy at all.
I'd also recommend the Gallery of Modern Art which is in a lovely park. Get lunch at LuBar the adjoining restaurant (not the cafeteria). Try vitello tonnato (veal w/ tuna). It's still on the menu...LINK

Thanks! Do you have info/link for your guide or her company?
