Doing a guys trip for The Masters.

Kiawah from Sunday through Wednesday, then Augusta from Thursday through Sunday.

Been a while since I’ve been to Kiawah - 4... maybe 6 guys...all make decent money...food recommendations?

Are there enough choices on the Island, or should we head up to Charleston, which I definitely want to do one night regardless.

TIA...

If ya'll are younger and/or single, you'll want to spend most of your free time in Charleston.

In early April, it will probably still be a tad too chilly to enjoy the beach.

There's stuff on Kiawah, but nothing that I'd call a hotspot of young nightlife.

The Freshfield's development between Kiawah and Seabrook has come along nicely in the past decade or so. Depending on when you were last on Kiawah, that may be completely new to you. King Street Grill and Hege's are both pretty good.

There are a few restaurants at Bohicket Marina. Not anything to brag about but it should be fine for a group of guys.
Side note: I recommend renting a boat at Bohicket for a few hours. I did that last spring. I have no boating experience. Cruise throughout the rivers and creeks. We had a blast. Tons of dolphins too.

We’re all in our 40’s...

We have a house rented on the island and will be playing golf all day. Nobody is looking to hooks-up, just interested in some good food/drinks after getting off the course.

Thanks for the suggestions though!

If you don't feel like going all the way into Charleston for food - try a restaurant on John's Island (the big island between Kiawah and Charleston). Wild Olive is my favorite restaurant in Charleston and there is also Fat Hen and the Royal Tern.

Otherwise, you should go into Charleston for the best food. I've heard the Ocean Room at the Kiawah resort is good but have never been there.

From what I remember, you’ll have to go back out to the main road. Maybank highway something like that... The road that the Angel Tree is on... Probably like 5 miles from Kiawah. Anyway, there’s a number of options right through there. The Tattooed Moose was a pretty good spot with a bar.

Big fan of Angel Oak restaurant. Should be a bit closer to y’all than downtown charleston.

Halls Chophouse and Anson St. Grill have always treated me well with large groups.

I’ll second Hall’s if y’all go into town for a night. Phenomenal steak.

Ocean Room is fantastic if you're looking for fine dining on Kiawah. The clubhouse at the Ocean course is awesome for lunch drinks. Gorgeous views.

Food is meh, though. But that 180° View is legit.
