Stayed at Sunset Cove beach resort with a big group of friends. It was a bit more rustic but it's run by a mom and son and the son lived in NOLA for a while so we chatted up about LA. The group we were with were all south florida natives. Cool little place to unplug.

We've stayed at the Hampton Inn Key Largo a couple of times and echo Jax's spot-on review. On both occasions (most recently in Feb 2020), the kayaks were available to rent in the lobby. Hotel sits on a small canal, so my husband and daughter used them to explore and saw lots of iguanas and manatees.
