I think those are Quintana Roo restrictions but they may ease by November.

Sounds like you swung and missed what Isla is all about.

On Isla? Look at Hote Secreto as well. They take fantastic care of us, have a private beach and it's a 3 minute walk around the point to Playa Norte or to Hidalgo Street.

stayed there it is ok. We do not need an all inclusive when we go to Isla. So much food around the island. Lotus did have free breakfast which basically was a giant fruit tray and coffee but that's all I need.

that place is right on the other side of the road from Lotus. Basically same area just other side of the bridge to Mia. Is that place kid friendly?

Lotus looks nice might go that route. How close to Playa Norte? Although if they have their own private beach might not need to leave except to tour the island

I'd say it's more adult oreiented. There is a sister hotel right next door that seems more family friendly with a nice pool and deck.

Hotel Playa Media Luna

Please notes that swimming on that side of the point is prohibited. Rough waters but as I said you can be in the calm waters of Playa Norte in a few minutes.

Those used to be the suites at Na Balam. They must have sold them

I knew Na Balam switched owners so this aspect of it makes sense now. Our first trip to Isla a few years back we stayed on those suites with a plunge pool on the balcony (which we never used). They had a pretty big storm come through there shortly after and it wiped away a lot of the beach and their day beach club they had set up there. There was also an outdoor pool with some cool lighting at night time that got wiped out. Looks like they sold off that portion and the new owners created Lotus. It looks very nice

no private beach. if palya Norte is closed so is Lotus's beach.

Every afternoon when the Corona Cops would get off around 5pm ever we would go into the water.
