The pilots are going to do all they can to get you from Point A to Point B. If you don’t get there, they don’t either. However if you can’t fly, don’t. PTSD is real. Life’s too short.

It’s weird because I know I can handle being on a boat or ship no problem since the water is second nature but flight for long distances terrifies me

I’ve done Houston to Auckland a few times

Honestly, after like 4 hours, my body and mind just kinda settle in and everything seems like a blur

I don’t notice much difference in that 15 hour flight from a 6 hour flight

If your nervous about being in a plane that long, get Xanax

I can fly from point A to point B with no problem at all. If someone wants me to hop in his small plane just to look around I always say no. Motion sickness gets me. We all have something going on.

To me I can handle that along with helicopter maybe it’s the length of time not having any control that terrifies me

Buy the most comfortable seat you can, preferably business class. You will take off in the morning but it will be night time in Japan. The minute you take off assume Japanese time. Eat, drink, then sleep.

Those pods provide about 7 feet of room and all you can eat and drink for the entire flight. I could live in one of those for a weekend. I’ve flown direct from the U.S. to Japan and to Singapore with one being 19 straight hours.
