The resort is nice but it doesn’t feel like your in Mexico at all. The resort is just a regular modern design. The food was advertised as this great tasting 5 star food and it was some of the most bland food we’ve had at an all inclusive. There wasn’t a meal that me and my wife had that we really liked. We went during Covid so it may be different but the beach service sucked and there was literally zero night entertainment options.

Just was wondering your pros and cons. Me and the wife ( both 26 ) are really considering a 4-5 night trip there in august or September. We are looking for something nice and fun. Xcaret seems like a place that would be hard to get bored at. Also I’ve read the food and alcohol is great.

To address the post above, the food is much better at Arte-only options. Also, there is night life at Arte - ask for the speakeasy (el deseo, I believe).

The cocktails are amazing at the restaurants.

Pros:

great property. great service. Tons to do.

Cons:

Very little AC in some restaurants. Cash tips encouraged, which is a PITA considering you don't want to carry cash.

Accidentally downvoted. Thanks for you response! I think we are pretty set on Xcaret Arte. I really don’t plan on bringing cash though. Hopefully this won’t be an issue

Bring some cash for tips at the bar/pool. You would be surprised at how far $5-$10 will improve your level of service.

Not sure Arte is, but I went to Hotel XCaret in 2019 and it was phenomenal in just about every way. Top notch.

I think Arte is the adult only side.

Yes it is the adult side on the other side of the Pyramid. Xcaret is great. We stayed in the main resort but the main attraction is the parks. Xenotes and Xsenses were awesome. The main dining hall was particularly good. I'm sure Arte is great for non families.

The on premises restaurants were good as well. they even had a "street vendor" doing street tacos by the pool in the evening. Very good and "free"

ETA: they will likely try to sell you a condo/time share. We enjoyed a great breakfast with a nice looking agent but didn't buy in. Not a bad way to spend the morning I must confess. My wife even enjoyed it.

Heading to Xcaret Arte for 5 nights in early September! Will be my first time out of the country. Looking forward to trying the different restaurants and parks. Any tips specific to this resort would be greatly appreciated!
