That was the worst part for me. Haha
But I absolutely hate flying.

Lol to each their own. I jumped up in the copilot seat with a few beers and enjoyed the ride all the way to the southern most airport. We had 3 stops along the way and still took less than 45 min lol

There's nothing like taking off and landing on that little runway in Belize City with the waves lapping up on the runway.

I'm still hesitant to book international travel for the fall. Have you considered staying in the US? Plenty of awesome destinations without having to be concerned about border issues, healthcare, or re-entry quarantine. In October in the US, why not consider:
--Hawaii
--Phoenix/Scottsdale (a resort like the Phoenician with amazing pools and spa isn't exactly beachlike but it's pretty damn relaxing and luxurious)
--south Florida, specifically the Biltmore in Coral Gables (largest hotel pool in the USA) with perhaps a few days in Miami Beach or one of the upper Keys

We booked our honeymoon as an inland and island stay through Coco Plum and Belizean Dreams for Oct 24th - 31st prior to all this covid. Was very reasonably priced. Fiancee really liked the idea of Mayan Ruin and Snorkeling excursions.

-Don't miss the mid day snacks at the bar.
-Don't miss jumping in the water with the nurse sharks when the fishermen are cleaning the fish.
-The excursion to cave tube was really cool actually. Local guy at the tubing place will sell you a cracked open coconut and then conviently hand you a rum bottle to have as much as you want. Enjoy then eat the coconut on the walk to the tube put in.
-If you want suvinears don't buy at the shop the bus stops at on way to cave tubing. Kids at the cave tubing place sell same shite for half the price. Got a legit butterfly wing picture for like 10 bucks.
-Don't be surprised when Shaggy shows up to sing on karaoke night
-Enjoy Swervin Ervin and Benjamin Franklin (bartenders). Work with them to find the drink you like and they will remember it all stay for you. They make a badass banana and starfruit thing that is 90% rum.

Cocoplum was amazing for chilling out and having some good food and drink. Hopefully my LSU shirt is still up in the bar area. The salt air does destroy them pretty quickly.

Sunset at the palms in negril Jamaica.

All inclusive and adults only. Did my honeymoon there and it was amazing. That will easily fit your budget with flights and leave you some to spare for couples massages/excursions.
