Has anyone ever spent Christmas in North George around Helen? I've been to Helen during the summer but not during the holiday season. How are the crowds and Winter activities?

I have been a couple weeks before christmas and it was wonderful. Beautiful decorations and not that crowded. If you have kids, take the holiday express train ride to tennessee. I believe it is an hour ride there and hour back.

You can drive to Helen but after a few hours you’re ready to go

I'm headed to Blue Ridge Dec 13-18 and was going to visit Helen as well and was looking for some recommendations as well. I will post back here if i find anything.

let me pull up my info from last Christmas.

My family and I went there last year because our house was still messed up from Hurricane Ida.

Definitely Rec. North GA over Gatlinburg etc....
