Guadalajara / Jalisco recs

Going to spending some time there later this fall. We’ll be driving out to Atotonilco (small village about an hour from Guadalajara) and staying with some friend’s family. Also plan on touring some tequila haciendas around Jalisco.
Any recs for the city of Guadalajara? Food/drink ideas are especially recommended

I'm suppose to meet some friends down there in the end of October for Dia de los muertos. Curious as well on recommendations.

Last time I was there I enjoyed every meal I had. Don't remember the names of all the places except for these two:
Boulangerie Central - good breakfast/brunch spot. Great chilequiles.
Asador LaVaca - good steaks, chicken, and great drinks and wine selection.

I'll be going to Guadalajara soon. I'll update you guys on my trip. Plan on going to tequila while I'm there too.
