In Munich I've always enjoyed Mike's Bikes tour. Many of the highlights are a bit far apart for walking, but too close to be in a car or bus. Same is true in Barcelona:

Mike's Bikes

Favorite restaurant there is Gasthaus Isarthor. It's a few blocks behind the clock tower (which is where the bike tours begin). Casual, bar / restaurant.

The concentration camp is also very good. It's a train ride (which is part of being in Europe).

I will be there as well the last week of July. What were some of the other restaurant and Biergarten recommendations you had received already?
