Gatlinburg/Pidgeon Forge cabin recommendations?

Looking at making reservations for first of Nov....anyone have any cabin recommendations or tips/advice? We have never been before.

Creek side Cabins in Bryson City. We stayed in Deer Run cabin. Very nice place. Will go back.

How many hours from most of you all to Pigeon Forge? LA loves PF/Gatlinburg. I think it’s 5-5.5 hours from me here in central KY.

Look at Elk Springs Resorts. They have some pretty killer cabins.
