SW emailed me a few days ago and told me they were cancelling my flight and they’d allow me to rebook any flight between the same 2 cities on any day free of charge. I just went into the SW app where you can do a live chat with an agent and I asked for vouchers for our inconvenience (I booked flights for a friend and I on my account). She issued me 2 $300 vouchers that I’ll get within the next 30 days.

Just wanted to let everyone know in case they deal with cancellations from them. I was not expecting $600 worth of vouchers, that’s for sure.

Did they give you a refund for your original flights or were the vouchers in exchange for that?

So they cancelled my original flight which was from MHT to MSY on 3/13. They still had flights available for that day and they automatically re-booked me for another on the same day but just in the morning instead of the evening like I originally booked. So basically I just messaged and said hey I was inconvenienced by you moving my flight from PM to AM and they issued the vouchers.

ETA: I did specifically mention that it altered my trip itinerary and caused me to change hotels. Not sure if mentioning specific things affects the voucher amount they give or not.

American delayed us 6 hours and told me to pull my mask up and sit down when I asked why we aren’t being communicated to or re-booked.
Never again. Frick that airline.
