Yes, everywhere does lessons. As far as snow, your guess is as good as anyone else's. No where has any snow currently and I don't see any in the forecast for the next 10 days.

Most places will start blowing snow - but a lot of places aren't even open by then (Thanksgiving is opening day...).

A-Basin and Loveland are usually opened in late October.

what kind of summer rain did you guys get in CO? we had the driest summer monsoon ever here in arizona. and with a la nina winter, it isn't supposed to be a very wet winter either. wondering if the intermountain west got the same dry summer.

The only runs open then, at the few places that are even open that early, will be the 1 or 2 runs with blown snow as the thin base. Poor timing for skiing, really. ABasin or Loveland will be your best bet, but like I said, 1 run. ABasin's ribbon of death as we call it, is awful and crowded early season. Not sure how the early season 1 run crowd will be this year with the COVID measures in place. Anyone's guess.

It rained a couple days in July and hasn't since. We need rain/snow badly. Huge fire west of Fort Collins. Forest service is shutting a bunch of land down it is so dry.

Yup, it's been bad in terms of precip this summer and fall so far. Hoping for La Nina to arrive sooner and bigger than normal.

I’d imagine Keystone, A Basin & Loveland will be open then.

Keystone opens on Nov. 6th. I worked there for the ski season in 1990. Fun place with plenty to do, night skiing is a must! The bunny hill and the longest green run (schoolmarm 3.5 miles) are lit at night.

Your guess is as good as anyone else's. The Denver Post just had an article today expecting a warm dry winter in Colorado. I remember a few years ago when we were riding bikes at Vail's back bowls in November.

What is plan b?
