First Anniversary 3 day trip - Resort and Spa

My wife and I are having our 1st Anniversary in October and I'm looking to bring her to a nice resort and spa type place.
We want to stay in the continental US. Preferably somewhere in the south so the flight is not too long. I've looked into the Texas hill county and South Carolina.
It's important that it has great views, accommodations are nice, good food and a nice city to visit(or some type of activity close by). Golf would be nice but not a priority.
Thanks for all of the suggestions.

How big are you looking at? Not to recommend 30A, but the Pearl in Rosemary Beach is a really nice small hotel/ resort with a pool and spa. On site restaurant or two, with a lot of things close by especially golf. Though not on site. If you go in later October the crowds will be gone, I wouldn't go anywhere on 30A the first 2 weeks as its fall break.
Given that, for an anniversary I'd probably go somewhere different than 30A personally.
I'd think you'd need to specify how much you are wanting to leave the resort property and how much the local area matters. For a 2 night trip it would be fairly easy to never need to leave the grounds, especially if golf was on site and especially if you plan on watching football on Saturday. Arrive friday night, golf Sat morn, then football, lounge around Sunday morning, then leave.

The Grand Marriott in Point Clear is nice. Excellent pool, golf, and tennis. They just completed or about to be completed a huge renovation that added restaurants and maybe a new bar.
The town of Fairhope is a neat little town pretty close by.
I second the Pearl down 30A suggestion. Seems awesome.
The Hyatt or Marriott properties in hill country.
If you really want to go all out baller style one of the best resorts in the country is Blackberry Farm right outside of Knoxville, TN.

Grove Park Inn in Asheville. It will be beautiful in Oct. (Fall colors). The view is fantastic off the deck. The lobby is cool as there are these massive fireplaces at each end where you can relax by the fire. There is a golf course right behind the property but I'm not sure if its part of the resort. Plenty to do. Biltmore, town of Asheville etc. Might be too late to get in as its a very popular time of year to be there but give it a shot.

Enchantment Resort in Sedona, AZ
LINK
ETA: I’ve never stayed here cause it is pretty pricey(just looked for dates in October and it’s like $700+ a night). But I’ve been told it is the nicest resort to stay in Sedona. And that it is the resort of choice for many celebrities that visit the area. I have hiked on a trail near here before....the resort is very secluded compared to other resorts in the area.
