11# pack before food and water
First 12k’ pass. Day one.
Hammocked every night but when I crossed the 35 miles above tree line section. Brought a small pad but wished I had more for that night.
This was near the highest point in trail. 13,300’ or so.
Looking down into Elk Creek canyon. Standing at 12.3k’.

nice pack I have the same one in orange. one of my favs along with my Zpack.
is it hard to find hang sites for the Hammock out there? What setup do you use for that as well?

Saw 4 moose, a few deer, marmots, picas, and bear tracks but no bears.
Hammock sites were almost easier to find than flat spots for tents. You may need to walk a little farther at times. Other than the 35 miles above tree line. You can’t hang there anywhere.

I was using 11’ Dream Hammock Darien
Hammock gear cuben fiber tarp
20* warbonnet UQ
40* topgquilt- should have brought the 20*. I was chilly a few nights.
