Thinking about our summer vacation for 2019
Have two young boys and wife driving down from Madison,WI.

Like to get a cabin rental for a week.

Can’t decide which area to go.
We enjoy nature outdoors etc

Opinions?

Right outside of Eureka
We stayed at Can You Canoe Cabins
Nice camping park about 5 minutes away by the dam
About 5 minutes back to Eureka Springs
You could make a day trip to Branson

Go to Branson. Much more to do than anywhere in Arkansas. Very family friendly if you are looking for that.

I’ve looked at a couple of forums online saying eureka is not as family friendly, although we really enjoy outdoors
(I agree the north seems to be much more scenic)

Thanks for the input

To quote the simpsons:

Branson: it’s like Vegas if Flanders ran it.

I wouldn't say not family friendly. Doesn't cater to families maybe. Still a neat place to visit, but a couple nights would probably suffice. Branson does cater to families and is still close to Fayetteville. Branson would be a good hub maybe, then day trip to Eureka, Fay, Springfield MO if you got bored.

So much better than HS/LR.

I would only choose Hot Springs if you really want access to lake activities.

You would not want to stay in the hot springs/Little Rock area for a full week.
