Family of 3 Spring break locations

Looking for recommendations for someplace to go. Did DR last summer. Daughter will be 10 so a nice resort with kid stuff is nice. Wife likes beach locations since we will just be coming out of cold in KC. No real price limits but nothing crazy.

Go somewhere that you dont have to be locked in a compund and can enjoy cool stuff. Maybe roatan would be a good spot.
