Add Krakow to your list of cities

Ok, now there ya go! Adding new choices!

I represent that recommendation. We spent a week in Poland, Krakow and Warsaw. Might have been our BEST trip ever. This would give you the MUST DO trip to Auschwitz. We hired a driver and drove over.

Yah I’ve done London and Paris plus euro star between so not a complete noob to train travel.

Was thinks about making Prague and Vienna the first European trip I take the kids to for a Christmas time Christmas market vacay and seemed like that’d be a good first time Europe trip for them.

My wife and I traveled to Vienna and Prague for the Christmas Markets in early December last year. We enjoyed both cities a lot, but I dug Prague a little more because it was easier to see/more compact. Both cities are great - but a little crowded - for Christmas Markets.

On the train from Vienna to Prague, we met an American living in Spain. He was going to Brno with his Polish girlfriend for a more authentic (i.e., less touristy) Christmas Market and holiday experience. You may want to check that out for a day or two.

Nole Man, Those are great scenes from Krakow.

And yes, Auschwitz is sobering but must do tour.

And to the OP, add two other cities

Dresden- Lots to see, less expensive than Berlin or München. Fewer English speaking travelers.

And Strasbourg in old town at Christmas is quite nice.

Try Southern Spain, especially Seville. The Feast of the Three Wise men is Jan 6 and that is the huge Christmas holiday in this area (I have lived in Seville for over 4 years).
