Booked a cheap flight to Denver from 11/9 to 11/14.

Prices seems pretty reasonable across the board for lodging and car rental.

Thinking of going out to Estes Park. Any tips/suggestions? I am aware that winter conditions can play a major role here and the weather is a crapshoot.

Thanks

I did the same but will be there 11/19-11/22. Going to explore the area, do some fly fishing, drink some whiskey by a fire, weather is a crapshoot but will make the best of it no matter what it is. I’ve been told to take 34 from Loveland into Estes is the ticket.

We did a cabin at Glacier Lodge. Very nice and great owners.

I'm trying to find the name, but, we stayed in a cabin on Fall River Rd and I'd highly recommend that area. Good proximity to the downtown area and right at the RMNP entrance. Cabin we had was right on the river and that was really nice and quiet. It had snowed ALOT right before we got there and it was beautiful.

I just booked a cabin on Fall River Rd that sounds very similar to this.

Anyone have some recommendations / tips for things to see and do at this time of the year (Both inside and outside of the park)?

i was in estes park 2 years ago but during the summer. if you are flying into denver weather/ snow is going to play a big part on your travels that direction. Some of the locals told me that the snow can start falling as early as now

The hotel (the Stanley) from the shining is in estes park. it is very very old and did not seem that great on the inside
estes was a nice town but small. had alot of shops and resturants. minutes from rocky mountain national park

All good stuff so far. Thanks.

Planning to do some hikes to a few lakes in RMNP.

Anyone have any ideas of a place that will show the LSU/Ark. game? Good food recs?
