It was great!
We slept in Austin on Sunday night. Drove straight to Wimberley from there on Monday morning and enjoyed walking around the downtown area. I’ve been wanting to purchase property in that area, but never got around to touring more than the more touristy area.
Left there and stopped at the Hays Country Store but it was packed. So we ate at Saltlick instead.
Drove to our AirBNB which was AWESOME! Relaxing and overlooking a canyon (about 10 miles west of DS).
Had breakfast the next day at Thyme & Dough and then did a small hike at Hamilton Pool area. Had dinner Tuesday night at Trattoria Lisina and visited Johnson City at some point during the trip as well.
We were just looking to do minimal and get away for a nice relaxing 2 days…and we definitely accomplished that.
What town are you located in?

Cool, sounds like took good advantage of your visit!
That was pretty close to where I live. The town is Henly. Just a dot on the map, not even a stop light. More cows than people but we love it. Bought the land about 12 yrs ago when prices were a bit more realistic. It’s insane now. And traffic is ridiculous.

We drove from Johnson City to Driftwood we went through Henly. I’d love to chat with a real estate agent from that area to just make a contact and let them know what I’m looking for. Any suggestions? I can post my email address if you’d rather send me something directly. Thanks!

JC is a nice town. Good food and stuff to do/see. Lots of little towns (Marble Falls, Fredericksburg, New Braunfels, etc) are just a short country drive and then Austin & San Antonio are at most an hour in either direction.
Realtors, sure. Are you looking for acreage or more of a subdivision?

Sorry, the week started and this slipped my mind. This guy is very knowledgeable and a go getter. Tell him Kevin sent you.

Property taxes are out of control in Travis, Hays and Williamson counties.
For the first time in years I know some people that are actually leaving the area since they’re priced out.
