Disney Week after Easter 2024

Hey Guys. Kids are in catholic school and are out of school the week following Easter. Is that week nuts there or what has been anyone’s experience?

It's going to be busy. Easter is normally one of the busiest weeks of the year with so many kids out of school, longer park hours and more daylight than Christmas and usually, awesome weather.
That being said, there are some things you can do to make things better like being at the parks 45 minutes before they open and taking a mid day break then coming back later (this is usually much easier when staying on site). Avoid table service dining which can take too much time and whatever you do, don't spend your mornings eating when you can doing attractions. Save the dining time for when the parks will be busier.
Try to hit Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom on the weekend and save Magic Kingdom and Epcot for mid week.
Park hoppers are worth the money and give you flexibility.
Buy Genie+ every day and every Individual Lightning Lane you can. Yes, this will add up especially for a family of 4 or 5 but I would find the money other places in the budget (like I mentioned, sticking with quick service dining or dining off site).
If you do any table service dining, try to book things like the Fantasmic! Dining Package where if you are sitting down and over spending for a meal, at least you're also getting a reserved spot for a show later in the day.
Don't discount non theme park things to do that can be fun when the parks become unbearable. SkyLiner crawls, Monorail Crawls, Disney Springs, resort pool time, etc.

Have you ever been in late January? Would it be less crowds but things closing down earlier?

Yes, much less busy. Now, Presidents and MLK weekends are busy but around Easter it's busy during the weekends AND during the week.
Like you mentioned, the parks won't be open as late but you should be able to get more done with smaller crowds.
They just released info on early 2024 Packages with some good savings too.

Been before during Easter / Spring Break. To sum it up, it's like God knocked over the largest and angriest fire ant hill imaginable and your in the middle of it. Never again.
Can it be done and still have a good time? Sure/maybe depending on your group.
Recommend? I won't do it ever again for sure that time of year.

Really spring break starts for some in early March and runs through the middle of April. You will have a slight break between the middle of April and the middle of May and then it’s the summer rush.
Disney is always packed now, but the best times to go are: Jan & Feb (except MLK and Mardi Gras). End of April through middle of May. Last week of September, all of October through about the 1st week of November .
