I need to book a flight to Denver from BTR leaving Mid December, week of the 12th, returning after Christmas. Should I book now or wait a little longer to see if prices drop?

Been a busy week on my end. Christmas week is sky high flight prices right now, not sure how much I see them dropping. Have you looked at booking two one-ways on different airlines? You can likely get btr-denver cheap if leaving mid December, coming back is likely what's causing tickets to have jacked up prices.

Look out of MSY. With the LCCs plus Southwest and United having direct flights, you could probably find a decent deal

Yeah….that’s exactly what I’m seeing. The return flight is what is expensive. I put a hold on a United flight yesterday for just at $500. I’m gonna check every day and if prices stay high, Ill probably book it. Thanks for the reply

It is cheaper to fly out of NOLA, but by the time I pay for parking, it negates the savings. I can easily get a ride to airport in BR. I wish we had a decent shuttle from BR.

I currently see a RT leaving on the 12th coming back on the 28th for 435 with 1 stop on United

If you leave the 13th till the 29th American has a RT out of BR for 383

Thanks ….I’ll check them out. Part of my problem is that I like certain times of the day. I don’t want to get in at 11 pm or leave at 6 am.

Yeah I'd definitely recommend booking two one-ways then. Book the cheapest option up to Denver then the best option time wise on the way back if they're all the same price. If you have status with any of the airlines then aim for them so you at least get a free bag, upgraded seats, etc.
