How is traffic getting into IAH (not sure on which terminal yet)? I read on here not long ago that traffic was awful getting to the terminal and I just got a not from United as a reminder to leave early. Thanks in advance.

Depends on the time of day. I just landed at IAH last night and got out of there with no issue. The time before it was a nightmare.

Terminal C parking is where the construction disaster is. My most recent two trips there in the past month were pretty terrible traffic. I had already prepaid for a discounted parking reservation though, so I was locked into that garage.

I'd also recommend parking in A/B garage to avoid some of the traffic & just using the skyway to get to a different terminal if needed.

Is prepaying for terminal parking the way to go, that is if we pick the right garage? I’ve never done the prepay option.

33% discount for garage prepay. I don't do it more than a day ahead of the flight though.

You can also do it for the offsite economy parking, but I always park in a garage.

If someone is dropping you off, having them drop you at A/B and take the tram. Unless it's 6 AM or 11 at night, avoid driving to terminal C. During peak travel times, the traffic is horrendous, like miss your flight horrendous.

Traffic was not bad going in and I parked in A/B parking, but I am glad that I reserved online beforehand because they were turning away the non-reserved and redirecting somewhere else.

Dropped my wife off Sunday around 4pm at B. She took the "subway" to C for a flight out of E.

Getting in and out of B was a breeze. She said getting to C then E was just as easy.
