Thinking about taking a trip to catch the CWS for a weekend. Where are the better places to stay in accordance with the places everyone hangs out after the games? Old Market? Closer to stadium? Harrah's casino across the river?
I have never been to Omaha, just checking it out on google maps.

This is what the travel board is for, but you will probably get a lot better responses on TigerRant.

I suggest the Old Market area. You can walk back and forth from the stadium to your hotel. Players and coaches will be in that area after practice eating and milling around, so that’s a plus especially if you have kids with you. If you take kids try to hit up the zoo and check out the old Rosenblatt setup.
If you are looking for more of an adult atmosphere, it’s still good. Places across from the stadium will be packed and they turn the tent city into a nightclub environment starting T 9:00 PM with no kids allowed, at least they have in the past.
They’ve changed the schedule this year, so the opening ceremony is on Thursday. Teams come in and are introduced Olympics style, there’s a concert and a good fireworks show.

Thanks DLB!
GJJ, I will hit up that board maybe in a couple of weeks when everyone starts getting excited about it.
