Hmm looks like th inbound flight for your DFW-LFT flight diverted from Durango CO to Lawson OK due to the storms in Dallas. Hopefully it takes off from OK soon

Rather than fly from IAH to ATL to JNB, I chose to do IAH-FRA-JNB with an 11 hour layover. This was to make sure I was on *A.

They sent the text saying passengers will be rebooked and notified soon. Should i wait and see how they rebook me or try and nip it in the bud? Idk if that rebooking offer from this morning is still available.

Yeah I should've told you to head to lft early and go standby on that one especially since that inbound plane took off from DFW somehow this morning.
See if you pull up your reservation online on the website or app if it's auto rebooked you or if you have the option to rebook. Since your flight was cancelled usually it will let you change to nearby airports if that's more convenient for this trip

Oh man i bet the people on board are pissed. Im way up here in marksville. I fly out of LFT bc AEX has gotten so expensive. But i wanna see if they can rebook me out of AEX tomorrow morning but the website doesn’t let me change the outbound airport. I have a callback in about 10-15 minutes so I’ll hopefully sort it out.

They should reroute you out of AEX for no issues, the 529am flight has seats but the flight to McAllen is full at 959am... You could do the 11am AEX to DFW, layover of 3.5 hours to a 359pm flight to MFE.

Make sure you can book that flight on United now before getting the refund on AA
