Going to Charlotte for work this weekend on short notice for a couple nights. Best area to stay for good restaurants, bars and hotel with a nice bar?

Thanks

Just stayed at Le Meredian in Charlotte. Cool rooftop bar with downtown views. It wasn’t around much but I could get to places quickly. I heard south end is the area with a lot to do. I could only find a holiday inn that area.

Most hotels are in Uptown / Center City, so plenty of bars and restaurants in the immediate walking distance of where you're probably staying.

Would also recommend walking the Rail Trail (if you can spare the time, otherwise just take ride share or Lynx Blue Line) to the South End and hop around to different breweries and bars.

I've stayed at hotels in both Uptown and South Park. I recommend either AC Hotel Southpark or Uptown. Both have incredible rooftop bars. There is a lot to do within walking distance of either hotel. Charlotte is an up and coming city and it will be a fun time.
