Enchanting, Tony, old money mixed with new. Very buttoned down but old world charm. Not many places like it in the US. Don’t miss it if you get the chance to visit.

I'm looking to go here in March, figured it would make a great long weekend. Have lots of Chase and Hyatt points to use.
Anybody with reviews on Hyatt Carmel Highlands? It's right next to Tickle Pink Inn
Also with all the rain over there currently, maybe this location isn't a great idea for just 2 months from now?

Spent a few hours there 2019. For my tastes nearby Monterey is more interesting. But if you want a high-end shopping experience, go over to Carmel and stroll Ocean Ave. There is a parking lot on 8th, 2 streets off Ocean.

Beautiful views but a little tired and away from town center.
Carmel is beautiful. Quaint cottage style homes many with incredible views of the ocean and pebble beach across the bay.
Hotels are older with more of a motel feel. Can be pricey in summer and early fall.
Slower pace than Monterrey.
Hiking at point lobos is awesome.
Mission ranch for happy hour. Great views but food is meh.
Other restaurants: La Bicyclette. Stationary for brunch/lunch.
Wonderful new higher end (expensive) lodging option on Carmel Point: Villa Mara. Attention to details and impeccable service.
