Caribbean eSIM

I posted in another thread that I am cruising on the Carnival Mardi Gras in August (yes, I know we're trashy). I have questions about getting an eSIM for phone use on port days.
I found a site called Maya that offers unlimited data for a week in the Caribbean for $20 per phone. We are going to the Bahamas, Dominican Republic (Amber Cove), and Grand Turk. It looks like it provides data only in those three places but no calling service. Verizon wants $12/day per phone for 3GB of data and (I presume) ability to call if needed.
Does anyone have a good eSIM option for travel like this they use?

I use Airalo or Ubigi when we travel. Both extremely popular.

If you have a Visa Infinite credit card like Chase Sapphire Reserve, you can get 3gb/15 days free with Gigsky. I’m using it in Europe and it’s been great.

I used Airalo in Nicaragua last year.
Worked flawlessly, I'd recommend and would use again.
FWIW, I switched to Spectrum mobile for general cell service at the beginning of this year.
Spent a month in Spain early spring and Spectrum has a $10/month add on that includes international service. That was a huge win and I didn't need to add an eSIM because of how well that performed. The add on can be turned on and off so I ended up paying the extra $10 for two months because of the billing cycle overlap, but I was extremely pleased with the service

I did some digging and I don't think either Airalo or Ubigi will be a good choice. Airalo skips the Dominican Republic and Ubigi charges 2.5x the price Maya does for unlimited data.
The question I have is how much data are we really going to consume when we're in the country just from 8-5 each day while in port?

TBH, I've never even considered it for a cruise.
We go on a cruise every year and for a few hours in a port it's mostly unnecessary to me.
If I have to connect, I can step into a bar/restaurant and connect to their wifi

Just don't forget, if your phone isn't paid off, you won't be able to use another carrier's eSIM.

Didn’t know that. Can you elaborate on that?

We're heading international in a couple weeks (family of 4). I can't see how adding travel pass to all 4 lines is a better option than just temporarily switching them to verizon's ultimate unlimited. Would prefer to just not stress about making calls back home or to eachother while we're there. There are definitely times when we won't all be in the same place at the same time...
