Taking a last minute trip to Texas for a funeral and gonna stop and sleep in LC for the night tonight
Not familiar with the area, but I’ll be traveling with my wife and three kids, so I’d like to stay in a safe area that won’t cost us an arm and a leg. Gonna get there late tonight and leave early in the morning.
Sorry if this is a stupid thread, but like I said, not familiar with the area and I don’t want to put my family in a bad spot
I’d assume all the hotels along the interstate are ok, right??

Hampton Inn off of Prien Lake Road or one of those hotels (Tru or StayBridge) in that same area are fine.
Pretty easy on and off Interstate 210
The hotels right off on I-10 in Lake Charles are mostly not in great areas.
Another option, if you don't want to take the 210 loop for the area mentioned above, is to stop in Sulphur at one of the hotels off of I-10 there.
